Great food with large quantity dishes. Service was very kind. The place is small and cozy, we also received a complimentary bowl of fries which were awesome. Great restaurant.
Wonderful experience! We shared a large fish and chips — which was plenty and we were super hungry! The fish was fresh and flaky, and the batter crisp and delicious. Chips were hot, crispy on the outside, and fluffy in the middle. Service was excellent and fast. A wonderful fish supper and exceptional value! Mushy peas also great. Basically, a perfect dining experience. Very impressed.
Definitely worth the travel! Deserves all it's awards. Traditional fish and chips fried in fresh oil. The scampi and chips is to die for with excellent fresh salad! . You can eat inside but not Wheelchair accessible sadly .
If i say they serve the best kebab in Oxford that won’t be wrong. Exquisite taste, portion size is incredibly big. Very good service and compassionate staff. I would say they are slightly overpriced but its Oxford and with the taste they are providing that much is fair enough . Their portion size is big, so if you’re a light eater then one chicken kebab would be enough for two.
Wow! My friends and I ordered the fish and chips and we were amazed at the portions. It was a little on the steep side at 17 pounds for a small portion and 18 for a large portion, but it was worth the price. A small portion here was still twice the size of a standard fish and chips in the US. It kept me full until lunch the next day! I was skeptical when a British friend of ours told us to try the mushy peas, but they were actually quite excellent. The fries were okay, but there are tons of dipping sauces to choose from. I also tried fish and chips at The Castle Pub, and while those were good, Posh Fish is better.
Cod bigger than my size 10 shoe. Chips are amazing. Friendly staff. A well deserved 5 stars!
What a superb experience ! The boss lady is very good at what she does and whips everyone into shape. The restaurant and shop is immaculate with lovely hand painted artwork and decor. Comfy seating and quality furniture. The large fish a chip meal is humongous! 2 fillets battered together is my guess. Huge and very good value for nowadays. Lovely experience thank you team.
Excellent service. Further to my previous review,it is no fault of the Restaurant but I did ask if parking at the rear is strictly enforced but staff were unsure and said it is okay to park! free parking is only for 1 hour I over stayed by 6 minutes and Euro car parks charged me 60, that's for supporting local business! Be very careful where you park if visiting the area.
